Well I never thought the day would come where I would be the one who is Sober. I have been in this for over a year now, and the results are something I wouldn’t change for the world. I wanted to share with you my experiences on this new life. and I thought what better way to do this then to blog about it. I know there are probably not many of you readers, but I am going to do my best to keep these posts coming.
On November 20 2014, I checked myself into detox – thinking I was going to only stay for 10 days, and well that turned into 73 days. the best 73 days I could have ever asked for. the best decision I have ever made.
I feel like society puts a bad image on rehab, when really what is bad about it? a person decides to change their way of life for the better, they should be getting high fives, not being gossiped about or looked down on. I have learned so much about myself and the way of living that this is what they should be teaching in school.!!
In the past year I have gone through some emotional times, and still was able to keep my sobriety alive. Yes I attend a lot of meetings, Yes I have a sponsor and Yes I have gone through the book (the big book of AA), and yes I am going to take others through the book. Cause I have learned the only way to keep myself sober is to give what I have learned away.
This program is so selfless and so loving that there is no other place I would rather call my place of freedom.
I am going to go into more detail in the up coming days, but I thought I would start small and work my way up. Small goals but realistic ones are the best ones to achieve and feel good about. I find that when I write out my list of things I need to do that day and there are just so many of them, its overwhelming and I find myself getting so stressed out that I cant even think about where to start, so I don’t even. Has that ever happened to you??
SMALL GOALS PER DAY = MORE PRODUCTIVITY !!!
I would like to say I am back, once again – and this time being clear headed and the fog has lifted I am going to be on top of my blog and try to spread the word of life and how awesome it can really be. we only live once, why not take full advantage of it??
This is all for now… until next time (like tomorrow)
