Hate Eating Alone? Dine with a Furry Friend.

The restaurant industry in Japan has always had their ways of making the patrons experience – interesting, to say the least.

The newest trend that, Japan’s Moomin Cafe, has developed is giving those solo eaters a chance to not sit alone, but still enjoy the silence as if they were. Upon seated (alone), am over sized stuffed animal is placed in unoccupied chair at your table, or beside you (which ever you prefer).

The theme of the restaurant is based on the Finnish picture books about a family of hippopotamuses – like creatures.

The entire resturant keeps up with the theme – from the animal characters you sit with to the food that is served.

So if you are ever in Japan make your way to the Moomin Cafe, alone, and have this little guy as your date…
